The B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Coalition was
established in
1994 and was formerly known as Horry
County Coalition to Limit Youth Access to Tobacco.
The mission of the
B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Coalition is to provide education
to citizens on the hazards of tobacco use to encourage a tobacco free
Horry County.
B.R.E.A.T.H.E. stands for "Breathe Real Earth Air Throughout Horry Everyday".
Horry (pronounced O-REE) County is the northeastern most coastal area
of South Carolina.
Horry's municipalities include Atlantic Beach, Aynor, Briarcliffe
Acres, Conway, Loris, Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach and Surfside
Beach. Myrtle Beach sees over 13 million visitors annually and is
ranked as one of the 20 fastest growing communities in the United
